I got souvenir from my tutor today.
It is pamphlet of Japanese textile design which is mina perhonen.

I and my tutor are keen on this brand. This is my one of favorite pattern in mina perhonen. I love it!
My tutor will produce new collection which theme is Japan, so she visited Japan during holidays. She showed me a lot of pictures. I miss Japan!!

cooking?

It is not cooking.. I did steam my fabric samples at home yesterday, because I started Uni today!!!

Yesterday I was so busy to prepare my project..

I needed to cover my fabric using cotton from waterdrop. It was first time to steam the fabric at home. I scared, but It was success. In this project, I struggled so many things that is dyeing, printing for procion, acid, and discharge. I did test many times to get my colour exactly, spent lots of time. So I couldnt finish before Christmas holiday.. I bought this pot for natural dye. I want to try it at home.


Today I handed in them somehow. After that I got final project.. We can do anything we want.

I have something  I want to do. I need to decide until next week. It will be fun!

New Years Day

 I am a Japanese student in South of UK. I start to write my diary in English and sometimes Japanese. I still study english, so please overlook my false in my english:).

Today, It is a New Years day!!  I went to the beach at 6:30a.m to watch the sunrise. Seeing sunrise in New year is very traditional Japanese culture.

My friend phoned me, said that she wants to do something in New Year, so I suggested to  go to the beach. She came to my house late night, we took a nap for a couple of hours, then left there at 6a.m, even though we were sooooooo sleepy...

When we arrived the beach, it was so dark, couldn't distinguish sea from beach. 

me「Im so scary-.」her 「Me toooooooooo!」

It was so scary, cos a few drunk people in there, the sound of waves was laudly that makes more nervous but we waited sunrise... we cycled around the beach to relieve the anxiety.

After 7:00a.m, It became light the sky, but where is sunrise...?

Finally we found that we can't see the sunrise because of too much clouds..

yes, I always can not see the sunrise in morning thesedays.

Even though we could not see the sunrise, It was fun, we saw dark sea, light sea, listened sound of waves and songs of seabirds. It was a nice & funny memory! The real risk is doing nothing?? I liked it, even though it was cold:).
